Writing Resources I Used to Write My Romantasy Novel
As a book editor, I have a lot of resources available to me to help with edits and revisions, but I didn’t have much that would help me draft. Of course, I had to fix that if I was gonna write fantasy. A lot of the writing craft books I share here are recommendations I give to clients all the time, so of course I had to take my own advice to heart and use them to write my work in progress, Forbidden Captive. They can all be used for outlining, drafting, and editing.
Save the Cat! Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody. There is even a Save the Cat! app! There are also many versions of Save the Cat! that might be helpful to your particular book.
Using a cork board or a dry erase board to outline your novel can be beneficial. Get sticky notes, pens, markers, highlighters, and whatever else you need to prep for such a project!

Word documents or Scrivener. I have a particular hate toward Google docs because of their limitations, but every other document platform costs money and some only want your money. No matter what you choose, find what works best for you! You can always start with Google docs and upgrade later.
